The design challenge here was to create a magazine layout in a cohesive, modern and minimalistic style in a print and digital publication format. Moreover, the digital version needs to work regardless of what device the reader has. Layouts are presented in print, Ipad and Iphone format.
This magazine showcases the Japandi trend, a hybrid of Scandinavian design and the timeless elegance of Japanese aesthetic. The target market of the magazine is 35-45 year-old consumers of modern minimalistic design products. Offering insight into a specific design aethetic, this magazine design features furniture, functional accessories, high-end textiles, curated art works such as paintings and prints & other lifestyle items.

Digital publications face their own specific challenges when it comes to having a non-device specific uniform look and feel for the reader. This exploration has sought to answer that challenge with a uniform style even though the layouts have to change with medium. The layouts were created for a print/digital magazine, tablet version and mobile version.
